Rock Creek boys69传媒 basketball continues to assert itself as one of the top teams in Kansas 4A, moving its win streak to four games this week.
Entering Friday night, The Mustangs (11-1) took down rival Wamego 57-37 last week before a 79-44 beatdown of Council Grove on Tuesday. The boys hosted Marysville on Friday night 69传媒 a team they handled 61-40 earlier this season.
Rock Creek placed 2nd in the 4A East sub-state, only trailing undefeated Ottawa.
The Mustang girls (9-3) ended a two-game skid by picking up a win over Council Grove, 60-18, on Tuesday. Rock Creek is fifth in the 4A East sub-state.

Wabaunsee
The Charger girls (13-3) have skyrocketed to the top of the Class 2A Valley Heights region, picking up six straight wins.
Half of Wabaunsee69传媒檚 wins came across the last week as it double-up Rural Vista 64-37 last Friday before stringing together a 47-35 win over Lnydon and a 31-16 defensive showcase over Axtell.
The Charger boys (11-5) have found success this season as well, placing fifth in their respective sub-state. Wabaunsee won its third straight with a 59-41 win over Lyndon but fell 65-44 against a talented Axtell squad.
Facing Jeff West on Friday, the Chargers69传媒 results were not known ahead of press time. Next week, Wabaunsee will visit Riley 69传媒 on Tuesday.
Wamego
The Red Raider girls (9-5) picked up an upset win at Rock Creek last Friday, taking the rivalry matchup 54-46. The matchup ended a two-game skid by Wamego and started a string of wins.
On Tuesday, the Wamego girls bested Abilene 61-24 to move up to ninth in the 4A East sub-state before its Friday night matchup with Concordia.
For the boys, the Red Raiders (3-11) have struggled to pick up wins through the first half of the season. Amid six consecutive losses, Wamego will look to get back on track against Concordia on Friday night.

Riley 69传媒
The Riley 69传媒 Girls (11-3) are cruising through the middle portion of their schedule, becoming winners of four straight wins this week.
On Tuesday, the Falcons ended Silver Lake69传媒檚 eight-game win streak with a big 44-36 win. Silver Lake, which placed second in the Class 3A Hiawatha region, couldn69传媒檛 keep its momentum away from home. Riley 69传媒 is third in the Halstead region, behind Halstead and Hesston.
The Falcon boys (4-10) split their contests over the past week, picking up a win against Royal Valley 61-56 before falling by four points in a tough loss to Silver Lake.
Each squad battled at Hiawatha on Friday night. Results were not known ahead of press time. Wabaunsee will visit Riley 69传媒 on Tuesday.
Valley Heights
The Mustang girls (8-7) have stumbled in recent games, losing four of their last five contests. Valley Heights ended a three-game skid, winning 71-27 over Republic 69传媒 last Friday, but couldn69传媒檛 keep rolling against Hanover.
The Valley Heights boys (3-11) failed to capitalize on a two-game win streak during the end of the Twin Valley League tournament. The Mustangs fell in a series of close contests against Linn, Republic 69传媒 and Hanover.
Each team has a good chance to right the ship, facing a pair of struggling Chapman squads, including a winless boys team and 2-12 girls team. Results were not known ahead of press time on Friday.
Frankfort
The Frankfort boys (12-4) are winners of four straight entering Friday night, rolling with a 70-41 win over Washington 69传媒 and a 55-34 takedown of Onaga.
The Wildcats have clawed to fourth in the Class 1A DI Centralia region. Frankfort meets another red-hot squad on Friday night in Blue Valley as each school heads down the home stretch of the season.
The Frankfort girls (4-11) haven't found the same success as the boys, suffering a nine-game losing streak.

Blue Valley
The Blue Valley boys (8-6) have climbed to the right side of .500 after three straight wins. The Rams took down Doniphan West 60-50 on the road last week before another 10-point win, 68-58, against Linn on Tuesday.
The Blue Valley girls (7-9) dropped their pair against Doniphan West and Linn, hoping to get back in the win column against a struggling Frankfort squad on Friday.
