A 22-year-old Junction City man died of a gunshot wound Saturday after a 27-year-old Fort Riley man shot him, according to Junction City police.

Junction City police responded to a call at 12:48 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Kramer Court and found the victim, Carron D. Carter, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Responders took him to Stormont Vail Health Flint Hills hospital in Junction City, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. An autopsy is scheduled for later this week.

Following an investigation, officers arrested Jonathan M. Lee of Fort Riley on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the incident. Lee is detained at Geary 69传媒 Detention Center without bond.

Police said this was an isolated incident, and there69传媒檚 no ongoing threat to the public.
