INCIDENTS

  • Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property in the 1500 block of Oxford Place on Friday, at 2:00 p.m. Officers listed a 19-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown subject had keyed his 2024 Kia Forte GT.   • Officers filed a report of criminal use of a financial card on Sunday, at 4:53 p.m. in the 3000 block of Claflin Road. Officers listed a 47-year-old female as the victim when it was reported her debit card had been used several times for unauthorized purchases by an unknown subject. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $2,000.
  • Kansas Highway Patrol officers filed a report of an injury accident on US Highway 24 on Friday, at 7:16 a.m. near the intersection with Blue River Hills Rd. Haleana J. Simmons, 19, of Assaria was driving a Ford Taurus and traveling west when she tried to pass Rachel M. Harmison, 23, of Leonardville, and struck the front driver69传媒檚 side of Harmison69传媒檚 Chevy Equinox while she was going east. Harmison69传媒檚 vehicle overturned and came to stop in the south ditch. Simmons then struck the driver69传媒檚 side of a Peterbuilt Semi driven by Brady Q. Meyer, age unknown, of Linn, and came to rest in the south ditch. Meyer was also traveling east. Simmons was taken to Wesley Medical Center for a suspected serious injury and Harmison was taken to Ascension Via Christi for a suspected minor injury.
  • Officers filed a report of a stolen vehicle on Monday, at 7:46 a.m. in the 2100 block of Prairie Glen Place. Officers listed a 25-year-old male as the victim when it was reported his 2001 Ford Escape was stolen by an unknown subject. The vehicle was spotted and recovered Monday afternoon.
