69传媒 High volleyball saw its two-game win streak snapped earlier this week, competing in a triangular at Mill Valley on Monday.

The Indians drop to 4-8 on the season after falling to the host Jaguars and Tonganoxie High.

In the opener against Mill Valley, 69传媒 fell in straight sets. The Indians battled in the opening set, falling just 25-23 but then being outmatched in the final set, 25-10.

Sophomore Bailey Busch led the way offensively with seven kills, also notching six digs. No other Indians recorded over two kills as the offensive struggled to a clip of -.033.

Defensively, sophomore Madison Stanard and senior Anistyn Gaskill stepped up for the Indians, each recording three blocks.

Still, Mill Valley69传媒檚 dominant offense was led by senior Saida Jacobs, who hit .727 with eight kills to lead the Jaguars to victory.

In the matchup with Toganoxie, 69传媒 took an early 1-0 set lead but would fall in three sets, 19-25, 25-18, 25-20.

Busch tallied seven kills, this time being joined by senior Caitlyn Woods with seven kills as well. Senior Sophia Salmans led the team in hit percentage at .263 with five kills. Woods also notched two service aces in the loss.

Contributing across the floor, Woods led the team in blocks against the Chieftains. Reaching double-figure digs was Busch with 12, followed by Gaskill with eight. Gaskill also paced the offense with 25 assists.

The Indians compete next at Hayden on Thursday, followed by the Washburn Rural tournament on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m.
